This is a great book for fans of the American Girl series who are ready for something a little more challenging or for anyone who has ever wondered what it would be like to live in another time. Her mother is pregnant, Mary Margaret is less than thrilled, but her mom explains with the new baby coming she can’t add a pet to the family also. Her big brother likes to tease her, but does occasionally help Mary Margaret with her plan. See what she does to get a pet.
