Summer in the City by Marie-Louise Gay and David Homel
Charlie and Max live in Montreal and this tells the story of their summer adventures.  What exciting things have you done this summer?  Charlie and Max try to make money by finding lost pets and collecting the reward money, but that didn’t go so well.  Charlie also tries dog walking, but it is harder than it sounds.  Next, their parents suggest camping in the backyard, which is great until an unexpected guest arrives.  Then the boys take a bus trip to visit their friend’s farm and get a little lost on the way.  How do your adventures compare to what Charlie and Max did this summer? I hope you had as much fun as they did!  Kristin (J Fiction)

Rocket the book-loving dog from Rocket Learns to Read is back, and he is no longer content with being a reader.  He wants to use all of his newfound words to make a story of his own.  There’s only one problem – he just doesn’t know what to write! Setting out on a journey to search for ideas, Rocket meets a shy little owl high up in a tree.  Could this little owl be the inspiration Rocket is looking for?  Don’t miss this lovely story about reading, writing, and friendship!  Alia (Picture Book)

Knuckle Tiggerelli and Potty Polarberg are the famous title characters in Tiger and Bear Are Huggable. They are tired of being called cute, sweet and wholesome, but when the duo finds out the title of their newest book- Tiger and Bear Go to Happy World, they’ve truly had enough! Knuckle and Potty try reasoning with the author and illustrator of the Tiger and Bear books and finally decide that a visit to Happy World is the only way to keep this book from happening!  This short book is generously illustrated and would be great for beginning chapter books readers and Captain Underpants fans.  Meghan (J Fiction)
